2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 cups oatmeal
1 tsp vanilla
14 oz pkg of chocolate chips (optional)
Blend shortening and sugars. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add oatmeal vanilla and chocolate chips and mix. Form into balls and roll in sugar. Bake at 350F for 12 minutes. Makes 3-4 dozen depending on size.
